Man Sucker-Punches Stranger At Fulton Street Station, Police Say

The brute threatened the 59-year-old victim with a knife before running off, police said.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — An unhinged man slugged a stranger in the face inside a Financial District subway station, police said.

The brute approached the 59-year-old victim at the Fulton Street station on Dec. 6 at about 1:40 p.m., cops said. After a brief, verbal argument the attacker punched the man in the head and brandished a knife, threatening him with the blade before running off, police said.

The victim was treated for cuts and bruises at a local hospital.

Police are searching for the assailant who is roughly 35 to 40-years-old, five-foot-nine and weighs 165 pounds. He was last spotted wearing a red jacket, a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a red baseball cap.
