Man's Body Found In Water Near South Street Seaport: NYPD
The body of a young man was found floating in the water off of Pier 16 Wednesday morning, police said.
FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — Police fished the body of a man from the waters near South Street Seaport Wednesday morning, authorities said
The NYPD's Harbor Unit responded to a 911 call of a body in the water just after 9 a.m. Emergency responders pulled a man, who police believe is 25 to 30 years old, out of the East River at Pier 16.
Medics pronounced the man dead at the scene. There were no obvious signs of trauma, police said.

The city's Medical Examiner's office will determine a cause of death. A police investigation is ongoing.
