Mystery Body Found in East River Leaves NYPD Stumped

Officers have been unable to identify the man.

NEW YORK, NY – A body pulled out of the East River nearly a month ago still hasn't been identified, police said Thursday. The NYPD issued a sketch of the man in the hopes that somebody will recognize him.

The man was found floating in the water in the NYPD's 1st Precinct, which covers the Financial District, on April 23.

He is described as about 5-foot-10, 175lbs, between 40 and 50-years-old with brown hair and a reddish-brown beard. He was wearing a black jacket, green pants, a gray sweater and black Adidas sneakers.
