VIDEO: Naked Hillary Clinton Statue Ripped Down By Angry New Yorkers

The statue was toppled over and then taken away by law enforcement on Wednesday morning, according to the Daily News.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — Turnabout is apparently fair play in the world of naked statue making: Weeks after a naked Donald Trump statue popped up Union Square, an equally naked statue of Hillary Clinton was erected outside the Bowling Green subway station during Tuesday morning's commute. On her bottom half, though, Clinton was depicted Pan-like legs and hooves.

According to the New York Daily News, artist Anthony Scioli erected the statue around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday — drawing immediate anger from New Yorkers passing by on their way to work.

The statue was toppled by an angry woman on the scene before it was removed at about 8:30 a.m., the Daily News reported.

The statue was taken away by "counterterrorism officials," the Daily News said, as the artist did not have a permit to display his work. However, an NYPD spokesman told Patch he had no information on the statue or who took it down.

Earlier this summer, a group of artists known as INDECLINE set up multiple naked statues of Donald Trump around the country, including one in New York City. The statue drew large crowds of onlookers in Union Square before it was eventually torn down by NYC Parks workers — but no one was nearly as angry as the New Yorkers who came across the Hillary Clinton version Tuesday.
