NYC Tenant Safety Group Rallies At City Hall
The Stand for Tenant Safety Coalition organized a rally on Thursday to call for City Council to pass a slate of bills.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — Advocates with a tenant safety group rallied outside of City Hall on Thursday to demand that landlords "stop construction as harassment."
The Stand for Tenant Safety Coalition organized the rally for 11 a.m. on Thursday outside City Hall to call on City Council to pass a slate of bill that the group says will provide more protection for tenants. The coalition is pushing for 12 bills to be passed that advocates say will help reform the department of buildings and make it harder for landlords to use construction work to push out tenants.
