TRIBECA, NY — The 15-year-old who fell to her death Sunday night from the fifth floor of a Tribeca apartment building was an aspiring actor.
Imogen Roche, a student at Beacon High School, was at a house party at 110 Reade Street near West Broadway when she went out onto the fifth-floor fire escape at 11 p.m. in an effort to retrieve her cellphone from a locked room in the apartment, police said.
As she climbed the teen slipped and fell, landing on her back on the sidewalk. Emergency responders rushed her to Bellevue Hospital where she died, authorities said.

The teenager was an aspiring actor who had appeared in short films posted online by Manhattan Youth, an after-school program. The organization is run by Imogen's father Theseus Roche, who is an actor and director and a member of the Screen Actors Guild. He also helms the group's theater program, according to Manhattan Youth's website.
Those who knew the young actor described her as intelligent with a close relationship to her father, one of Imogen's former teachers told the New York Post.
