Thief Tied To 4 Burglaries At Lower Manhattan Eateries, NYPD Says
Cops are searching for a thief tied to four burglaries at restaurants in the Financial District, the NYPD said.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — Cops have tied one thief to a string of burglaries at three different Lower Manhattan eateries in the past several weeks, according to the NYPD.
The burglar first got inside Sweets by CHLOE at Front and John streets about 1:40 a.m. Sept. 15, the NYPD said. Police said he stole $1,400 worth of tablets.
About 11:30 p.m. Sept. 15, he returned to the sweets shop and took another $1,200 in electronics, according to police. It is unknown how he got inside the eatery.

Police said the same person busted a window at Schilling Restaurant & Bar on Washington Street between Rector and Carlisle streets and stole $500 in cash and three iPads, 11 p.m. on Sept. 28.
The next weekend, an employee at Tajin Restaurant saw the burglar break a window and snatch the entire cash register just after midnight Oct. 4, at Greenwich and Rector streets, police said.

Police said the 49-year-old employee confronted the thief, who then dropped the register and ran off.
Surveillance images released by the NYPD show the thief in a grey hooded sweatshirt and red hooded sweatshirt, from two different burglaries Oct. 4 and Sept. 15, respectively.
