Tribeca Art Night Keeps Gallery Doors Open Late
Over a dozen galleries in Tribeca will be staying open late on Thursday night to welcome guests.
TRIBECA, NY — Below Canal Street has never been known as the same kind of vibrant art community as Greenwich Village, but one gallery is trying to bring a little more awareness to the Lower Manhattan art scene.
Sapar Contemporary, located at 9 North Moore St., is a relative newcomer to Tribeca, but they are trying to spread the love around. To that end, the gallery has organized a Tribeca Art Night to be held on Thursday, Sept. 29. It's the first of what they plan to make into an annual tradition.
The event begins at 6:30 p.m. outside Sapar Contemporary and lasts until 8:30 p.m.

There will be 18 different galleries, including Sapar, taking part in the event advertised as "a stroll across the Tribeca Art District." You had to sign up by last week to take part in the guided tours, but all 18 galleries will be open late for visitors to stroll into. The tours were organized in partnership with Artsy, a site for art collecting and education.
The following institutions are taking part:
