Vox Media Building Swarmed By Bees
The entrance to a building in downtown Manhattan was swarmed by a group of bees on Tuesday.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — A swarm of thousands of bees blocked the entrance to a downtown Manhattan office building on Tuesday morning.
The buzzing horde congregated just outside of the entryway to the high-rise at 85 Broad St., which houses Vox Media, among other companies. (For more news from the Financial District and the rest of NYC, subscribe here for free breaking news alerts and updates from Patch.)
Vox Media staffers were on hand to document the swarm (which eventually generated enough tweets to become its own Twitter moment):

Earlier this month, a swarm of honeybees closed down a Midtown Manhattan block for several hours until the NYPD's beekeeper could remove them using a bee vacuum. At the time, an NYPD spokesman told Patch that it's currently "swarming season," meaning that bees are currently out and about scouting for a new home. The NYPD was not immediately called to respond to the bees in the Financial District on Tuesday, a spokesman said.
