WATCH: Robber Shoves Fistfuls Of Cash Into Pants From FiDi Newsstand, Police Say
Police say the man struck another person over the head before stealing $3,000 and lottery tickets.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — Police are searching for a man who they say violently robbed a newsstand of $3,000 and lottery tickets last month.
The NYPD released surveillance footage on Friday from a newsstand located at 88 Fulton Street, asking for the public's help in identifying the robber. On Sat., May 20, police say that the unidentified man approached the newsstand and struck a 23-year-old in the head using a silver gun. The man then stole about $3,000 and an unknown amount of lottery tickets from the stand before fleeing the area just before 8 p.m.
Surveillance footage released by police shows the man shoving fistfuls of cash into his pants before leaving the store.

The 23-year-old man, who was hit on the side of his head, was transported to the hospital in stable condition, authorities said.
No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
