RONKONKOMA, NY —Long Island's MacArthur Airport is undergoing a revitalization this year—a new airline, Breeze Airways, will begin connecting the airport with two new destinations in South Carolina and Virginia in February. A proposed major redevelopment plan would add a Long Island Rail Road link and a new terminal. And now, a new brewpub from Patchogue-based Blue Point Brewing offers travelers local craft beer and pub fare.

The Blue Point Brewing Brewpub opened in October where Maggie O'Shea's used to be located.

A spokesperson for Blue Point, Long Island's largest brewery, Shelby Poole, told Patch that the pub will have a rotating selection of seasonal and limited release beers in addition to year-round classics like Toasted Lager, Spectral Haze and Imperial Sunshine. There are also cans, and non-Blue Point beer available. There is also a pub menu with snacks and burgers.

The brewery was already planning to open the airport spot, and the potential expansion are an added bonus.

"As Long Island's OG brewery, it's incredibly exciting to be woven into the development of such an iconic LI travel portal. We're so excited for what's to come," Poole said.
