East Islip Community Chamber Of Commerce: LIRR Connetquot Ave Grade Crossing Closure

On Thursday September 16th from 5am to 5pm the Long Island Rail Road will be closing the grade crossing at Connetquot Avenue in Great River (just to the east of the Great River Station) to perform track and signal work in the crossing. During the closure, the crossing will be fully closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic and MTAPD will be on site to assist with the closure. Additionally, Suffolk County PD, the Great River Fire Department and the East Islip Fire Department are all aware of the closure.
