Super Bowl Sunday Snow Hour-By-Hour Forecast

LONG ISLAND, NY — Long Island is likely to see a couple inches of snow on Super Bowl Sunday. That's up slightly from earlier estimates.

The snow should end before the big game kicks off at 6:30 p.m.

Snow may mix with rain for a few hours early Sunday before turning to all snow as temperatures drop below freezing.

There's about a 65 percent chance of more than an inch of snow and a 40 percent chance of more than 2 inches, according to weather service snow total estimate maps.

The full forecast:

Saturday Night- A slight chance of rain between 1am and 2am, then rain and snow likely. Cloudy, with a low around 31. West wind around 9 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Sunday- Snow likely before 1pm, then a slight chance of light snow after 1pm. Cloudy, with a temperature falling to around 29 by 5pm. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. North wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Sunday Night- Mostly cloudy, with a low around 17. Wind chill values between 5 and 15. North wind 11 to 15 mph.

Monday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 27. Northwest wind 13 to 16 mph.

Monday Night- Mostly clear, with a low around 15.

Tuesday- Sunny, with a high near 36.

Tuesday Night- Mostly clear, with a low around 25.

Wednesday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 48.
