Woman Pulled From East River In Critical Condition, Police Say
The woman in her 60s was found floating in the East River on Tuesday morning.

STUY TOWN, NY — A woman is in critical condition after firefighters pulled her from the East River on Tuesday morning, authorities said.
The woman, who police have not identified but say is in her 60s, was rescued about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, an NYPD spokesman told Patch. Police said firefighters found her near East 23rd Street and FDR Drive after a 911 caller reported seeing her floating in the water.
She was taken to Bellevue hospital.

Authorities did not have additional information on the extent of the woman's injuries or how she ended up in the water.
