Bay Street Releases Summer Comedy Lineup
Comedy showcases round out June Monday nights, followed by headliners in July and August.

Looking to take in some laughs this summer? released its 2012 Comedy Club lineup on Monday, which features a Grammy Award-nominee, a star of one of the most popular comedies on cable, a Saturday Night Live alum, and more.
Headliners this summer include Robert Klein, Susie Essman, Jim Breuer, and others, while the summer's comedy schedule kicks off next Monday with Bay Street's All Star Comedy Showcase.
Hosted by Shelter Island native Joseph Vecsey, the showcase will feature a handful of up-and-coming comedians, including Yannis Pappas, Kenny Garcia, Sergio Chicon, Kareem Green and Dawn B.

Among the group, Vecsey hosts a comedy podcast, interviewing other comedians; Pappas has been named a "new face" at the Just for Laughs comedy festival; and Green has been a three-time champion at Showtime at the Apollo.
The following Monday, Shaun Eli — a writer on "The Tonight Show" — hosts The Ivy League of Comedy. Comedians will include former law school grad Dan Nauterman, former journalist Joe DeVito, and "Last Comic Standing" performer Myq Kaplan.Â

Tickets for both comedy specials are $25, though for headliners throughout the summer, tickets are $67 for nonmembers and $60 for Bay Street members.
In mid-July, "Cash Cab" host Ben Bailey and former "Mad TV" performer Orlando Jones come to Bay Street.
August's lineup consists of Klein on Aug. 13, Essman on Aug. 20, and Breuer on Aug. 27.
Klein was nominated twice for "Best Comedy Album of the Year" and has appeared on "The Tonight Show" and "The Late Show With David Letterman" more than 100 times combined.
Essman has performed stand-up for more than 25 years and stars in "Curb Your Enthusiasm," as the loud and profane Susie Greene, and released a book, "What Would Susie Say," last fall.
Breuer, a SNL alum, has been performing stand-up for more than two decades and made Comedy Central's Greatest 100 Stand-Ups of All Time list with his "Party in the Stomach" routine.
