Dance to Funk, Jazz and R&B Saturday at the Spring Fling

You can dance and rock out with local music groups The Hoodoo Loungers, Mamalee Rose & Friends and Moore Johansson this Saturday in Sag Harbor at the Spring Fling, a benefit for Bay Street Theatre.

Tickets bought in advance are just $15 per person.

Formerly known as the Who Dat Loungers, the Hoodoo Loungersperform funk, R&B, jazz and Dixieland. Grammy-winning producer Cynthia Daniels will record the nine-piece band's new live album, inspired by New Orleans and Mardi Gras, during the event.

Moore Johansson is singer Kristen Moore and guitarist Dick Johansson. "Together they make a great duo performing everything from jazz to country," the theater states.

Mamalee Rose & Friends have been regulars on the East End scene for more than 20 years, according to the theater. The band composed of Lee Lawler, A. Rose Lawler, Peter "Bosco" Michne, Josh Brussell, Jimmy Lawler and Michael Cain, plays R&B, soul, rock and standards.

The dance is April 20 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance at www.baystreet.org, the box office or 631-725-9500. Admission is $25 at the door.
