Here are the top stories today in East Hampton:

  1. More than $90,000 worth of handbags were stolen from Balenciaga retail store in East Hampton on Thursday, police said. East Hampton Village police said three males and two females entered the store and grabbed the expensive handbags off the shelves; no one was armed, and all left the store within 30 seconds, police said. After a pursuit, all were charged with one count of second-degree grand larceny, a felony, and one count of third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony, police said.   3. Senior Aidan Kamp, who has been employed as a caddie at the Shinnecock Hills Golf Club for the past four years, earned the Chick Evans (Full) Scholarship for Caddies for his "outstanding academics, character and strong caddie record." (Westhampton-Hampton Bays Patch).
  4. Christian Guardino, a legally blind, Patchogue-Medford High School graduate, will once again be on a national stage. Guardino made it to the quarterfinals of "America's Got Talent" in 2017, and this Sunday, will appear on season 20 of "American Idol." Viewers can tune in to see his audition on the season preview of the new "American Idol" season at 8 p.m. Sunday on ABC. (Patch)
