  1. Latest dogs, cats, pets up for adoption at East Hampton area shelters. This week the lineup includes three Chiweenie puppies, beautiful, bright-eyed cats and good looking dogs. If you aren't sure if you have time to take care of a pet year round, many shelters also offer opportunities to foster pets until they are placed in appropriate homes. (East Hampton Patch)
  2. Town of East Hampton will distribute free COVID-19 tests to residents. According to town officials, tests will be available at East Hampton Town Hall, 159 Pantigo Road, East Hampton, on today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on Tuesday, Feb. 22 from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., or until supplies run out. Tests will also be distributed at the East Hampton Town Senior Center administrative trailer on Friday, Feb. 18, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., or as supplies last. (East Hampton Patch)

  4. Documenting one of the most defining historical moments of our time, the pandemic, is exactly what the East Hampton Library is doing. The library’s “COVID Hamptons: How the Pandemic Reshaped an Iconic Community” video series aims to document the pandemic through interviews with local people.   5. Cross Sound ferry fares are rising according to the size of your car or truck. These changes also include a modest increase in our fares, which is necessary due to the fast-rising costs of labor, fuel, and other expenses," the company announced.
