1. Adorable Adoptable Pets Of The Week in The East Hampton area. This week we are showcasing beautiful cats, and handsome looking dogs. 3. Want to cast your vote on the acquisition of land through eminent domain for proposed construction to address safety at four intersections on the East End? The New York State Department of Transportation will conduct a virtual public hearing Wednesday to discuss the intersections include State Route 25 and Edwards Avenue in Calverton and State Route 25 and County Route 48 in Greenport. Two other projects, both in East Hampton Town, are also included in the hearing. 4. Who benefits from the Spirit and Frontier airlines merger? We do! The Daily News reported that Spirit and Frontier agreed to a merger valued at $6.6 billion that they say will create “America’s most competitive ultra-low fare airline,” the companies announced Monday. The airlines would combine under the new deal to offer “more ultra-low fares to more travelers in more destinations across the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean,” the companies said. “We are thrilled to join forces with Frontier to further democratize air travel,” Spirit President and CEO Ted Christie said in a statement Monday.
