Here are the top stories in East Hampton today:

  1. Ahead of the Wainscott facility’s recently postponed “re-envisioning” process, the Town of East Hampton released the details of its proposed restrictions on aircraft that fly in and out of East Hampton Airport. Curfews are among the proposed rules in the plan to convert the airport from public to private use. Flights would limited between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends and holidays. (Dan's Papers)
  2. What to do in the Hamptons this weekend, March 12–13? The top event on everyone's mind is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day this weekend. Events range from art to festivals, all you need do is select one and make your weekend enjoyable. (Dan's Papers)
  3. Get your race on with a pop-up flight from LI MacArthur's Airport to the Kentucky Derby! The outgoing flight will leave May 5 and the return trip takes place on Sunday, May 8. The 148th annual Kentucky Derby will take place at Churchill Downs on Saturday, May 7. (Patch)
  4. Christian Guardino, the legally blind singer from Patchogue, is heading to Hollywood after his "American Idol" season 20 audition ended with a standing ovation from the show's judges and a hug from Lionel Richie. Katy Perry added that Guardino had "a voice of gold." (Patch)
