- The East Hampton "private-use airport" is set to open on May 19. Town officials are asking for public participation in voicing their opinions and comments on airport options. Comments may be submitted through March 18 to EHAirportScope@EHamptonny.gov, or sent by mail to the Town Clerk, 159 Pantigo Road, East Hampton NY 11937. (East Hampton Patch)
- Join the free home energy efficiency webinar sponsored by Energize East Hampton. The webinar will be held March 15, 6:30 p.m. "Learn about NYS incentives, rebates, and subsidized low-interest, long-term loans that can help you install new energy-efficient home heating and cooling systems that will save on utility costs and help protect the environment," stated the press release. - During the Long Island-Ukraine Emergency Drive, the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office donated nearly 450 pieces of bulletproof body armor, medical supplies, sleeping bags and other essentials to Ukraine. "We stand with the people of Ukraine, and we want to offer our help any way that we can and I'm proud to announce that the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office is able to step up and provide materials that can help keep them safe," said Suffolk County Sheriff Errol Toulon Jr. (News 12 Connecticut)
