Here are the top stories in East Hampton today:

  1. On Thursday, Andrew Ramsaroop, 30, a Queens man, was indicted on charges of raping a 13-year-old girl from Suffolk County he met on Snapchat, Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney said. An investigation revealed that Ramsaroop communicated with her, through the app, for about two weeks before arriving in Suffolk County in May "to engage in sexual acts with her on two separate occasions," Tierney said. Ramsaroop is being held on "$300,000 cash/ $600,000 bond or $2 million partially secured bond," Tierney said. (East Hampton Patch)
  2. Just as summer is about to begin and the Hamptons are hit with its annual "flood of summer vacationers," Rag & Bone opened a new location in East Hampton. The open plan store design is a "gallery-inspired presentation" of denim, footwear and accessories, perfect for the Hampton scene. (Sourcing Journal)
  3. Copycat attack threats have been circulating since the Texas mass shooting at Robb Elementary School. On Thursday, a Long Island 13 year old was arrested for "threatening to carry out a shooting at Westhampton Beach Middle School," authorities said. He told police that violence was the only way to end the bullying by his peers, police said. (News 12 Brooklyn)
  4. Just a reminder that on Saturday, the East Hampton Pride Parade begins at 11 a.m. near Pond View Lane and Guild Hall. The website carved out the itinerary, "at noon, participants will march east on Main Street and continue to Herrick Park via Newton Lane, Railroad Avenue, and Lumber Lane." The park will be hopping until 3 p.m. with celebration and music from deejay Karin Ward. (East Hampton Star)
