- President Joe Biden said America must remain "vigilant against the pandemic and fight to save as many lives as possible, with more testing, vaccines, and treatment" as the nation reached the grim milestone: one million lives lost to COVID-19 nationwide. (East Hampton Patch)
- The East End is preparing for crowds as summer beach season is about to hit, but coronavirus diagnoses are once again rising. East Hampton is no stranger to COVID-19 outbreaks, the Senior Center recently reopened after a deep cleaning after its outbreak. Officials are urging everyone to get vaccinated and boosted as the East End prepares for the crowds to return for the third summer of the new normal. (Dan's Papers)
