The East Hampton Fire Department will hold an Open House on Sunday, October 6th from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The Open House is in conjunction with Fire Prevention Week (October 6-October 12). This year’s theme is “Kitchen Fires." All are invited to the firehouse located at 1 Cedar Street, East Hampton. Children can see the fire trucks, take a ride in the tower ladder, spray the fire hose, and see demonstrations of extinguishing a stove fire. The Heavy Rescue Squad will also perform a vehicle extrication demonstration. Children will also receive free fire prevention materials and children’s gifts. Refreshments will be served.
