• Supervisor Assesses the State of the Town (easthamptonstar.com) — East Hampton Town Supervisor Kathee Burke-Gonzalez used her State of the Town address to outline 2025 accomplishments and key priorities for 2026, from water quality and septic upgrades to a new Latino advisory committee. She also addressed the stalled senior center project, staffing levels at Town Hall, and the upcoming transition of 911 dispatch services, while numerous town officials and board members were sworn into new terms. 
• Failed to Signal and Keep in Lane (easthamptonstar.com) — East Hampton police charged a 31-year-old local man with felony drunken driving after a late-night traffic stop on Springs-Fireplace Road, citing lane and signaling violations. Officers reported signs of intoxication, a breath test at or above the legal limit, and two prior DWI convictions, leading to felony charges, supervised release, and a Town Justice Court date later this month.
