The Southampton Town Police and the Bay Constables rescued a Hampton Bays man who was in kayaking on the Peconic Bay off North Road in Hampton Bays and encountered difficulty due to strong winds and tide conditions.
On July 1, at approximately six p.m., Welby Malczewski, 19, was rescued and taken aboard a patrol vessel.
Malczewski was transported to shore. He was uninjured and required no medical attention.
