Police Logs: Montauk Man Held on $10,000 Cash Bail After Violating OP

Police charged Kelvin Delacuz with a felony and two misdemeanors on April 15.

The following information was supplied by the East Hampton Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

• Kelvin Delacruz, 43, of Montauk, was arrested after he allegedly violated an order of protection during a domestic dispute on April 15. Police responded to an apartment on Duryea Avenue around 4:30 p.m., but Delacruz was gone. He was located at S. Emery Street in Montauk around 5:15 p.m., and placed under arrested. He was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony, second-degree criminal trespass and acting in a manner injurious to a child under 17, both misdemeanors, and second-degree harassment, a violation. Justice Lisa R. Rana arraigned him, setting bail at $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond. He is being held at the Suffolk County jail in Riverside.

• Victoriano A. Gavilanes, 32, of Wainscott, was arrested and charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, a misdemeanor, and second-degree harassment, a violation, on April 15, after a domestic incident at his house. Following his arraignment, Justice Rana released her on $1,000 bail.

• Carlos M. Rodriguez, 24, of East Hampton, was arrested after allegedly driving drunk on April 16. Police said they saw him speeding at 70 mph in a 55 mph zone and swerving on Montauk Highway, near Marlin Drive, in Montauk at about 1 a.m. He appeared intoxicated and performed poorly on field sobriety tests, police said. Charged with misdemeanor DWI, he was released on $350 bail following arraignment.

• Amy M. Lerner, 57, of Springs, was arrested on a DWI charge on April 12. Lerner was driving north on Three Mile Harbor Road, near Abraham's Path, when she allegedly failed to maintain her lane of travel at about 10:50 p.m. Police said she appeared intoxicated when she was pulled over. Held overnight for arraignment, Justice Rana released Lerner on her own recognizance.

• Victor E. Barrera-Guillen, 30, of East Hampton, was also arrested on a DWI charge. Police said they saw his 2008 Toyota Tacoma cross over the double yellow lines on Three Mile Harbor Road, near Neighborhood House Drive, in East Hampton on April 21 at about 1:40 a.m. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was charged with a misdemeanor. Justice Rana released him on $350 bail.

• Rene V. Gallegos-Saquicaray, 23, of East Hampton, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor DWI and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in Springs on April 20. Police said Gallegos-Saquicaray was pulled over on Springs Fireplace Road, near Woodbine Drive, at about 2:45 a.m., after they saw a Dodge pickup truck pull into several different driveways on Bowling Green Drive, and then drive onto Church Lane and then turn around in the intersection of Springs Fireplace Road. When police pulled him over near Woodbine Drive, she appeared intoxicated. Police also found that his license was suspended three times on March 14 for failure to answer a summons out of East Hampton Town Justice Court. Justice Rana arraigned him later that morning and released her on $400 bail.

• Ivan V. Narvarez Bermeo, 37, of East Hampton, was arrested on a driving while intoxicated charge after an accident in Springs on April 19. Police were called to Kings Court, near Springs Fireplace Road, at about 10:05 p.m. A 2008 Nissan Titan pickup truck, parked in front of a house, had been struck by a 1997 Nissan Sentra. The driver of the Sentra appeared intoxicated and police administered field sobriety tests, which he failed, they said. He was charged misdemeanor DWI and held overnight for arraignment. Justice Rana released him the next day on $400 bail.
