Police: Three Arrested for Drunk Driving

The New York State Police arrested three men last week for drunk driving. Arrested were a Sag Harbor man, a Lindenhurst man and a Quogue man.

On June 25, Giancarlo Cervantes, 27, of Sag Harbor suddenly pulled onto the shoulder in front of the police. The police stopped and did a routine check of the driver and vehicle and subsequently found Cervantes was drunk. He was released on traffic tickets returnable to the Town of East Hampton on July 10, at 9:30 a.m.

On June 28, Robert Martin, Jr., 33, of Lindenhurst, was arrested for drunk driving after being stopped at a routine road check on Sound Avenue in Riverhead. Martin was released on traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Riverhead Court at a later date.

On June 29, Yamid Barreto, 32, of East Quogue was arrested for driving drunk after being stopped for speeding and failing to maintain his lane on County Route 80 in Hampton Bays. Barreto was held for arraignment in the Town of Southampton Court.
