The New York State Police of Riverside conducted an Underage Drinker Enforcement Operation in the Town of Southold and the Village of Greenport. Three vendors were found to be selling alcohol to minors. All three were charged and issued tickets returnable to Southold Town Court.
On Thursday, July 3, Danielle S. Hubbard, 27, a resident of Greenport and a clerk at 7-11 in Greenport of Greenport was charged with selling alcohol to minors along with James S. Polychron, 64, of Shelter Island, a clerk at Greenport Wines & Spirits and Nicholas J. Cevette, Jr. a resident of Cutchogue and a clerk at the 7-11 in Cutchogue.
Eight other establishments in Greeport were targeted and found to be in compliance. The vendors found to be in compliance were the Layyah Corp., GMS Grocery, JB Liquors, the Village Grocer, the IGA and Claudio’s Wines & Liquors, TSM Grocery and Patriot Gas.
