'Real Housewife' Kelly Bensimon Sells East Hampton Home

Former 'Real Housewives of New York' star Kelly Bensimon recently sold her East Hampton home for $5.75 million after chopping the price from more than half her original asking price.

According to a New York Daily News report, Bensimon had originally been asking $12 million on the 5,800-square foot home situated on an acre and a half, though cut the asking price to $5.5 million.

The closing occurred in late November, according to the report, and was handled by Prudential Douglas Elliman.

Bensimon, a mother of two girls, is no stranger in the community, having taken a dip in the annual Polar Bear Plunge and has made appearances at local businesses such as BookHampton and Gloria Jewel. Bensimon was also one of over 130 authors to for the East Hampton Library expansion.
