Your Chance To Dunk a Minister and a Mayor
St. Luke's Episcopal Church will feature a dunk tank this year and two well-known village men are ready to get wet.

The Rev. Denis Brunelle and East Hampton Village Mayor Paul F. Rickenbach Jr. are ready to get sopping wet, all for a good cause.
They've agreed to sit in the dunk tank at St. Luke's Episcopal Church's annual fair, which is scheduled for July 6.

“Have you ever wished you could dunk a rector, priest, minister or pastor? At our summer fair, everyone can have that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," Brunelle said.
"I have offered to be a candidate," Rickenbach said with a laugh. This isn't the first time he's gotten wet to raise funds for charity, as he has participated in the East Hampton Polar Bear Plunge that raises money for the food pantries.

"It's ll in jest and in fun and for the benefit of St. Luke's. For that, golly, I'm happy to be part of the day," Rickenbach said of the upcoming event. Though he did add, "I hope I don't get dunked too often."
How much time Brunelle and Rickenbach will spend under water, rests on the aim of fair-goers. Who's going to practice their throwing skills?
The old-fashioned family fair, which has been going on for more than 125 years, will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition to the dunk tank, there will be music, carnival-style activities, games, face painting, pony rides, raffles for kids' toys and lots of food.
