Cocaine, Pounds Of Marijuana Found In Drug Bust: Nassau Police

Police say they also recovered a handgun and other drugs during the investigation.

WESTBURY, NY — A Westbury man was arrested in the afternoon of Oct. 14 after Nassau County police say an investigation found drugs and a gun in his home.

According to police, detectives investigated the Bowling Green Drive home of Walter LinderNavarro, 23, at 1:15 p.m. on Oct. 14.

Police say they recovered 388.9 grams of a white, powdery substance believed to be cocaine; 101 pills believed to be oxycodone hydrochloride; 38 vape cartridges containing THC; a chocolate bar containing TCH; more than five pounds of marijuana; and a 9mm Taurus handgun.

LinderNavarro was charged with first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, second-degree criminal possession of cannabis and criminal possession of a firearm.

He was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Oct. 15 and ordered held on bail of $200,000 cash or $400,000 bond, which was not posted.
