Crimes Nearby Part I: Vehicles Damaged, Man Arrested
Recent criminal activity reported in southeast Nassau County communities.

The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.
Bellmore
- On May 8, between 8:15 a.m. and 2:40 p.m., a vehicle's window was broken while it was parked on Bellmore Avenue.
- Sometime between 8 p.m. on May 9 and 8 a.m. on May 10, a vehicle's tires were slashed while parked on Davenport Place in North Bellmore.
- On May 11, at 12:25 a.m., Wayne Alcus, 44, of Copiague, was arrested at Antoinette's Restaurant on 2701 Merrick Road., and charged with assault after he punched the manager.
- Items were removed from an unlocked vehicle that was parked on Sheila Court on May 8.
- On May 10, a vehicle parked on Front Street was keyed.
