Crimes Nearby Part II: Car Stolen, Woman Charged With Grand Larceny

Recent criminal activity reported by the first and seventh precincts.

The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.

Levittown

  • On May 15, a car was stolen on Hilltop Road.
  • On May 15, an IPhone and an IPad was stolen from Wisdom Lane Middle School.  
  • On May 21, a window was broken on a car on Bucket Lane.
  • The Nassau County Police Department announced on May 21 that they arrested a Levittown woman in connection with a knifepoint ATM robbery that occurred last month at while someone was withdrawing money from an ATM machine at Citibank off Hempstead Turnpike. For more details, click here.
Merrick
  • Sometime between 12:20 a.m. and 7:40 a.m. on May 15, three tires and rims were stolen from a Hondra Accord that was parked on Cynthia Lane in Merrick.
  • A Merrick woman was charged on May 17 with grand larceny for allegedly stealing more than $90,000 from the Roosevelt-based waterproofing company where she worked as comptroller. Click this link for more.
  • Sometime between 9 p.m. on May 16 and 1 p.m. on May 17, a power washer was stolen from a shed on Frederick Avenue.
  • On May 16, at 9:26 a.m., a man reported that his chainsaw on Shore Drive was missing.
