GSNC Elects Westbury Resident to 2023-2025 Board of Directors
Gabby Gibbs Elected to Girl Scouts of Nassau County Board of Directors

Garden City, NY (MAY 2023)— Girl Scouts of Nassau County announced today that Westbury resident Gabby Gibbs has been elected to the Girl Scouts of Nassau County Board of Directors through 2025. Gibbs was one of 17 board members sworn in during the organization’s 58th Annual Meeting, which was held at the Ruth S. Harley University Center on the Adelphi University campus. The Girl Scouts of Nassau County Board of Directors comprises lifelong Girl Scouts, community leaders, and nonprofit and corporative executives who provide leadership, innovation and constant support to the Girl Scouts of Nassau County council.
“Girl Scouts of Nassau County is proud to have such prestigious and accomplished members on its Board of Directors to inspire and empower our Girl Scouts,” said Randell Bynum, Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of Nassau County. “I am confident that this group of leaders will help cultivate the Girl Scout experience and help fulfill our mission to build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.”
The Girl Scouts of Nassau County board of directors provide strategic leadership and work collaboratively to build courage, confidence, and character in Nassau County girls. They will also help raise vital funds to expand access to Girl Scout experiences that socially, academically and emotionally empower girls throughout our community.

Gabby Gibbs is a high school junior and a Girl Scout Ambassador. She has been a Girl Scout since 2010 and is currently working on her Gold Award. She has been a member of Girl Scouts of Nassau County’s Media Girl unit for many years and loves public speaking. She has also sang with the Girl Scouts of Nassau County Chorus and participated in many events such as singing Christmas songs for Music Choice, singing the national anthem for professional sports events, opening for Radio City Music Hall’s Christmas Spectacular. She aspires to be an actress and singer, and is also interested in psychology. She was selected to be the keynote speaker at a Girl Scouts of Nassau County legislative meeting. She was selected and traveled to London to interview actress Millie Bobbie Brown and women on the set of the Netflix Original Enola Holmes. She participates in community theater, school musicals and plays, and is a member of her school’s varsity track team. She participates in many community service opportunities with Girl Scouts, most recently, I Love My Park park cleanup initiative and the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless Grow a Garden event.
