Hicksville Man Arrested For Criminal Impersonation in East Meadow

Gagandeep Singh of Hicksville displayed a fake FBI identification card while conducting a vehicle stop, police said.

A Hicksville man was arrested for criminal impersonation in East Meadow on Saturday, police said.

According to authorities, police received a call for a man displaying an FBI identification while conducting a vehicle stop in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven at 2138 Hempstead Turnpike.

Upon arrival, officers saw Gagandeep Singh, 19, standing along side a gray Honda with four people seated inside. Singh then sat in his 2007 BMW with the engine running, which was parked next to the victims’ car.

Singh stopped the victims’ vehicle, produced a fake FBI identification card and asked the 21-year-old female driver to exit the vehicle and open the trunk. He then proceeded to search it, police said.

Subsequent to an investigation, Singh was found with two New York State drivers licenses bearing his name and two different dates of birth and a fake FBI identification card, authorities said.

Singh is being charged with first-degree criminal impersonation, two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, driving while intoxicated, two counts of third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.
