MINEOLA, NY — Nassau County officials are making final preparations for this weekend's Long Island Marathon at Eisenhower Park.

Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman cited the large number of registrations as a sign that the county is returning strong from the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We have athletes from all over the world who will be coming here to compete. This is one of the largest marathons in the world, and we’re so happy to sponsor it right here in Nassau County," Blakeman said.
