Meadowbrook Parkway Lanes Closing In East Meadow Starting Aug. 23
The state needs to make repairs to the roadway, so lanes will be closed for about three months, officials said.
EAST MEADOW, NY — Lanes on the southbound Meadowbrook State Parkway will be closed next week as workers from the state Department of Transportation make repairs to the roadway.
According to the DOT, two southbound lanes of the Meadowbrook will be closed between exits M5 for Hempstead Turnpike and M6 for the Southern State Parkway starting Aug. 23. DOT workers need to make concrete pavement repairs, curb replacements and storm drain repairs.
The lanes will be closed between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. for about three months, officials said.
