Motorcyclist Killed In Nassau Crash

Police say the man was involved in a crash with a sedan, and died a short time later.

UNIONDALE, NY — A motorcyclist was killed in Uniondale Wednesday night after getting into a crash with a car, Nassau County police said.

According to police, a 46-year-old man was driving a 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle at the intersection of Front Street and Chester Street at 7:30 p.m. when he was involved in a crash with a 1999 Acura sedan.

Police say the motorcyclist suffered serious injures and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead by a doctor.

The driver of the sedan, a 34-year-old man, remained at the scene, and was not hurt.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
