Multiple People Hurt In 3-Car Crash In Nassau
Police say a half-dozen people were taken to the hospital following the crash.
WESTBURY, NY — Multiple people were injured in a multi-car crash in Westbury Saturday afternoon.
A 24-year-old man driving a 2005 Mercedes sedan crashed into a 2017 Volkswagen sedan being driven by a 31-year-old woman at the intersection of Jericho Turnpike and Roxbury Road at 1:30 p.m.
The crash caused the Mercedes to overturn. Pedestrians pulled the driver out of the car, and he was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of cuts to his head and hands.

The driver of the Volkswagen was taken to a hospital as a precaution. There were three passengers in the Volkswagen: a 31-year-old man, a 5-year-old and an 8-year-old. The man was taken to a hospital for minor complaints of pain. The children were not injured.
In addition, a 2010 Mercedes sedan being driven by a 19-year-old man collided with the curb after swerving to avoid the crash. The driver, along with two other 19-year-old passengers, were taken to the hospital for minor complaints of pain.

Police say the investigation is ongoing, but do not suspect any criminality.
