Nassau Police ID Man Killed By Unmarked Police Car

Police say the man was crossing a road Saturday night when he was hit by the official vehicle.

UNIONDALE, NY — Nassau County police have identified the man who was killed after being hit by an unmarked police car on Saturday.

Police have identified the victim as Miguel Romero, 47, of Uniondale.

According to police, Romero was crossing Front Street, near the intersection of Front Street, at 9:26 p.m. on Nov. 19 when he was hit by an unmarked police car.

Romero suffered multiple injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead by hospital staff.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
