Nassau Police Investigating East Meadow Bank Robbery

Police say a man entered the bank and passed the teller a note demanding cash.

EAST MEADOW, NY — Nassau County police are investigating a bank robbery in East Meadow, and are asking anyone with information to come forward.

According to police, a man entered the TD Bank located at 2549 Hempstead Turnpike at 1:51 p.m. Sunday. He handed a note to the teller demanding money. The teller complied, and the man fled with the cash.

There were five employees in the bank at the time of the robbery. No one was injured.

Police say the robber was about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a baseball hat, dark clothes and a surgical face mask.

Police ask anyone with information about this robbery to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
