Celso Santos, 39, of Hicksville was charged with second-degree assault.
A Hicksville man was arrested on Friday after he allegedly hit a man in the face with a glass bottle, police said.
According to police, a 31-year-old man was seated at Broadway Diner in Hicksville when Celso Santos, 39, approached him from behind and hit the victim in the face with a glass bottle.
Santos was then placed under arrest without incident, police said.
The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Santos was charged with second-degree assault.
