North Carolina Man Had Illegal Handgun: Nassau Police
Police say the handgun was found during a traffic stop, and was loaded with 21 rounds.
WESTBURY, NY — A North Carolina man was arrested for possessing an illegal handgun that was found during a traffic stop, Nassau County police said.
According to police, officers pulled over a car on Corporate Drive in Westbury at 8:18 p.m. on Wednesday after seeing it change lanes without signaling.
During the investigation, police say the driver began to make "furtive movements," which prompted the officers to tell the driver and passenger to get out of the car.

Officers recovered a black Beretta 9mm handgun loaded with 21 rounds of ammunition, police said. The driver, Derrick Seidler, 34, of Greensboro, North Carolina, was arrested at the scene. The passenger was released.
Seidler is charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of an ammunition feeding device and a vehicle and traffic law violation. He is scheduled to be arraigned later today in First District Court in Hempstead.
