Purse Stolen From Qdoba In East Meadow: Police

A man and woman swiped a purse that was accidentally left behind, police say; it contained a credit card and jewelry.

EAST MEADOW, NY — A man and woman stole a purse while at a Qdoba in East Meadow in September, Nassau police said.

The two were sitting in the Qdoba, located at 2160 Hempstead Turnpike, when they saw a brown leather purse that was accidentally left behind in the booth next to them, around 5:30 p.m. Sept. 28, police said.

The man grabbed the purse, which contained various items including a credit card and jewelry, and walked out of the front entrance with the woman, leaving in an unknown direction, police said. Detectives say they are looking for the thieves.

Police described the man as white with long black hair and a small beard. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black shorts, black shoes and a black baseball hat, police said.

Police described the woman as white with long black curly hair and tattoos on her left arm. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants, black sneakers and black eye glasses, police said.
