Road Work To Close 2 Lanes On Meadowbrook For 3 Months
Northbound lanes between exits M6 and M5 will be closed overnight starting next week for much-needed repairs.
UNIONDALE, NY — A section of the Meadowbrook State Parkway in Uniondale will be closed starting Monday for repairs.
According to the state Department of Transportation, two lanes on the northbound side of the parkway between exits M6 for the Southern State Parkway and M5 for Hempstead Turnpike will be closed. The lanes will be closed overnight, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., starting on July 26. The work is expected to take about three months, but could take longer depending on the weather.
The closure is needed for crews to do repairs. Work crews will be doing in-depth concrete repairs, curb replacement and storm drain repairs.
