Seattle Couple Sold Fake Jewelry Out Of Their Car: Nassau Police
Police say the two were selling knock-off jewelry on the side of the road.

UNIONDALE, NY — A couple from Seattle, Washington were arrested Monday after police say they were found to be selling fake jewelry from their car.
According to police, officers responded to a call for two people in a white Mercedes selling fake jewelry near Nassau Road and Stanton Boulevard in Uniondale around 2:30 p.m. Monday.
Police say an investigation led them to Ionel Ghicoel, 37, and Elvira Stan, 36, both of Seattle. They were arrested without incident. Police say the two sold fake jewelry to a 28-year-old woman.

They are both charged with petty larceny and were issued appearance tickets returnable to First District Court in Hempstead on Aug. 2.
Police ask anyone who thinks they may have purchased fraudulent jewelry from the two to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS, or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
