Uniondale Woman Accused Of Assaulting Medic in East Meadow: NCPD
She was being transported to Nassau University Medical Center for evaluation.
EAST MEADOW, NY — Nassau police report the arrest of a Uniondale woman for an assault that occurred at 1:15 a.m. Sunday in East Meadow.
According to detectives, Tiaira Peavy, 23, of 632 Amsterdam Ave. was transported to Nassau University Medical Center located at 2201 Hempstead Turnpike for evaluation. While the AMT was rendering aid, Peavy became violent and combative and struck the Nassau County Police Medic in the face causing swelling, bruising and substantial pain.
Peavy was placed under arrest, charged with second-degree assault.

The medic was treated and released from the hospital.
Peavy was scheduled to be arraigned on Sunday at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
