Woman Charged With Becoming Violent, Making Terroristic Threats, At LI Hospital: Police
The incident took place Thursday afternoon, police say.
EAST MEADOW, NY — A Westbury woman was arrested after becoming violent at a Long Island hospital and making terroristic threats to the staff, police said.
According to Nassau County police, the incident took on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. According to detectives, police responded to Nassau University Medical Center on Hempstead Turnpike for a disturbance.
While at the hospital, Sullethea T. Smith, 48, became violent with hospital staff and began making terroristic threats, police said.

The male victim, 24, suffered a laceration to his left arm and an injury to his left shoulder, causing him substantial pain, police said. Upon police arrival, Smith was placed under arrest without further incident, police said.
Smith was charged with making a terroristic threat and second-degree assault, police said.

She will be arraigned on Friday at First District Court in Hempstead, police said.
