Cops: Two Die in Hicksville Crash

A teen and 26-year-old were killed in the multi-vehicle accident, police say.

Nassau Police are investigating a fatal accident that killed two people and injured two others in Hicksville late Monday night.

Detectives say that at about 11:37 p.m., a 17-year-old male was driving a 2003 Acura westbound on Old Country Road when he collided with a 2000 Volkswagon making a left turn out of Antun’s Catering, located at 22 W. Old Country Road. The Volkswagon was occupied by a male driver, 26, and two male passengers, ages 24 and 26.

The collision caused the Volkswagon to strike a third vehicle, a 2012 Toyota Prius driven by a 55-year-old man. The driver of the Volkswagon was ejected from the vehicle into the roadway where he was possibly struck by a fourth vehicle heading east. The driver of the Volkswagon was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said.
